(2024年11月-北京)“驱动力:共情与直觉”艺术展近日在北京尤伦斯当代艺术中心开幕。该展览展出了包括近二十位国内外优秀当代艺术家的作品。策展人梁爽表示:这些作品代表了艺术家们“对自然环境、全球生态以及人类命运的思考,既具有人文社会视角,又带有诗意浪漫的叙述”。展览以对自然的敬畏,对生命的尊重和对未来的希望,向珍·古道尔博士致敬。据悉,珍·古道尔博士将于月底访华。

记者从开幕式上获悉,《驱动力:共情与直觉》艺术展由珍古道尔(北京)环境文化交流中心和北京联益慈善基金会珍古道尔青年环境发展专项基金联合主办,由一切都好文化艺术出品。珍古道尔(北京)环境文化交流中心理事长柯马凯表示:
“珍·古道尔博士今年已经九十岁了,她的一生激励了许许多多的人,为了让这个世界变得更好而努力。通过这个展览,我们不仅可以让人们知道珍·古道尔这个名字,更可以让人们了解、关注、思考我们人类与大自然的关系,思考我们可以怎样为保护自然做些什么。”

展览出品人,一切都好文化艺术负责人张梦说到,本次展览集合了徐冰、邱志杰、宋冬、尹秀珍等十余位中国顶尖当代艺术家,用东方式的思考和动人心弦的艺术创作,表达对自然、环境以及人类命运的关心!观众将看到一个尊重自然,尊重动物,激发观众思考人与自然之间关系的艺术展。希望能够给观众带来不同一般的观展体验。

本次艺术展的专家委员会由艺术家、学者及环境保护、动物保护领域的专家和代表组成。在开幕式上,作为专家委员会成员,著名主持人、北京爱它动物保护基金会理事长张越、世界动物保护协会中国首席代表赵中华、国家动物博物馆馆长张劲硕以及银杏公益基金会秘书长张伯驹分别分享了自己与珍·古道尔博士的联系,谈及她的成就和对自己的影响。他们一致认为,艺术展将是一次成功的尝试,对传播珍·古道尔的环保理念,鼓励公众积极行动起来保护地球家园具有非常积极的意义。

“Driving Force: Compassion and Intuition” Art Exhibition Opens
November 1, 2024, Beijing - The "Driving Force: Compassion and Intuition" art exhibition launched today at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. Showcasing works from nearly twenty acclaimed contemporary artists worldwide, curator Liang Shuang commented, "These pieces reflect the artists' contemplations on the natural environment, global ecology, and human destiny, through a humanistic lens with poetic, romantic narrative." The exhibition pays tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall through a shared reverence for nature, respect for life, and hope for the future. It is reported that Dr. Jane Goodall will visit China at the end of the month.
It is learned at the opening ceremony on November 1 that, produced by Art is Long Art & Culture the "Driving Force: Compassion and Intuition" art exhibition is jointly organized by the Jane Goodall (Beijing) Environmental Culture Exchange Center and the Jane Goodall Youth Environmental Development Fund of the Beijing United Charity Foundation. Michael Crook, Chairman of the Jane Goodall (Beijing) Environmental Culture Exchange Center, stated,
"Dr. Jane Goodall, now 90, has inspired countless individuals to strive for a better world. Through this exhibition, we aim not only to introduce her name but also to encourage audiences to reflect on humanity's relationship with nature and consider actions for its protection. "
Producer Zhang Meng, head of Art is Long Art & Culture, noted that this exhibition brings together over ten top contemporary Chinese artists, including Xu Bing, Qiu Zhijie, Song Dong, and Yin Xiuzhen. Through Eastern-inspired thinking and moving artistic creations, they express their concerns about nature, the environment, and the fate of humanity. Visitors will experience an art exhibition that respects nature and animals, stimulating reflection on the relationship between humans and nature. She hopes the exhibition will provide the audience with a truly extraordinary and unique viewing experience.
Roots & Shoots Beijing’s General Secretary, Qian Lei, shared that Dr. Goodall, the distinguished zoologist, environmental advocate, and UN Messenger of Peace, will visit China from November 30 to December 4, 2024, and participate in a series of public events.
The expert committee for this exhibition comprises artists, scholars, and experts in environmental and animal protection. During the opening, committee members - including Zhang Yue, President of the Beijing AITA Animal Protection Foundation; Zhao Zhonghua, China Chief Representative of the World Animal Protection Association; Zhang Jinshuo, Director of the National Museum of Animals; and Zhang Boju, Secretary-General of the Ginkgo Foundation - discussed Dr. Goodall’s achievements and the impact she’s had on their work. They unanimously agreed that this exhibition is a meaningful endeavor to share Dr. Goodall’s environmental philosophy and motivate the public to act in preserving our planet.
This exhibition will run through December 5, with multiple cross-disciplinary talks and panel discussions led by distinguished scholars and artists.
