Shilla Monogram Xi’an, the debut property of Shilla Hotels & Resorts under Samsung Group in Chinese Mainland, has officially announced the appointment of Ms. Amy Meng as General Manager. In her new role, Ms. Meng will oversee core business segments including end-to-end hotel operations, business strategy planning, talent team development and comprehensive market expansion. She will lead this luxury hotel, defined by an elegant fusion of oriental aesthetics and world-class hospitality standards, to further deepen its footprint in Xi’an and strengthen the brand’s regional influence.

With over two decades of extensive experience in international five-star hotel management, Ms. Meng has served four leading global hotel groups: Shangri-La, Marriott, Hilton and InterContinental. She has built extensive industry connections and developed a well-rounded strategic vision covering refined single-hotel operations and cross-regional overall management.

During her tenure as Director of Sales & Marketing at an InterContinental hotel, her team consistently outperformed corporate performance targets year after year, establishing the property as a benchmark within InterContinental’s Northern China region. While serving as Director of Commercial Operations at a Hilton hotel, she spearheaded a brand refresh that innovatively integrates Tang Dynasty culture, creating synergy between cultural IP and commercial performance. Even amid the industry-wide downturn brought by the pandemic, she steered her team to deliver robust revenue growth against market headwinds, setting all-time monthly records for room revenue and occupancy rate. In her early career supporting a Marriott hotel’s pre-opening phase, she led the ground-up development of a complete sales framework. As a key core member, she helped the team win the Asia Pacific Sales Team of the Year Award. Her extensive career track record attests to her outstanding strategic foresight, innovative brand operation mindset and sophisticated cross-cultural coordination and communication capabilities.

Upon taking office at Shilla Monogram Xi’an, Ms. Meng will leverage the hotel’s prime location at the heart of Silk Road Science City in Xi’an High-tech Zone, alongside her established client network and frontline operational expertise to continuously elevate service quality, streamline operational systems and upgrade commercial management.
